No, we are not an energy company and we do not provide electricity or gas to households.

What do you do, exactly?

Our company regularly monitors and compares the various tariff offerings across the broad UK energy market. When cheaper tariffs are found, we want to help our users benefit from them. We have a switching service can initiate the switch on behalf of our customers, effectively eliminating the burden of having to deal with this frequently complex and daunting task on their own.

Do I need this?

According to a research finding by Ofgem, many UK residents stand to save around £300 annually on their energy bill if they haven't recently switched. This is simply due to the fact that the energy market in the UK constantly fluctuates with older tariffs removed and new ones added. To guarantee cheap tariff, it becomes necessary to review these new tariffs from different suppliers on a regular basis. For many, this is a very time consuming process and it's frequently forgotten.

If you have recently switched, you may already be on the cheapest tariff, but that is not guaranteed forever. Even if you are on a fixed tariff, your price will change when the contract is up and the plan rolls over to a new and more costly variable tariff.

With the Labrador, you simply need to let us know what your current tariff is and we'll work for you to find a cheaper one. When we do eventually find one, we'll let you know how much you can save by switching and you can make the ultimate decisions if you'd like to make the move.

What about exit fees?

We take early exit fees in consideration. We only let you know about the new tariff available if we are able to save you a significant amount even with the early exit fees in the calculation.

If you are already on the cheapest tariff, then no action will be taken for the time being. Our system will continue to monitor the market until such time new tariffs become available and we restart the process of evaluating them to see if these new tariffs can help you save.

How much does this service cost?

This service is provided for you at no cost. It is completely free of charge. There are no small prints, hidden costs, or advanced functionality that you can only get if you pay for it.

What does the signup process look like?

The signup journey is a very straightforward process. To start with, all we need is an e-mail address so we can communicate with you and some basic information about you and your household. Once, you're on our dashboard, you can start customising so we can start searching for a cheaper tariff that works for your household.
