Labrador is ISO 27001 certified, which means that we have been independently assessed and awarded with a certification that indicates our adherence to the latest technological best practices in handling sensitive information securely and responsibly.

What is ISO 27001?

If you have never heard of ISO 27001 before, this accreditation is created and maintained by two international organisations: the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The sole purpose of this certification to serve as a model for "establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an information security management system" that is accepted and acknowledged by business entities everywhere, not just in the UK or Europe, but also the rest of the world.

The ISO 27001 contains a mandate that requires business entities to comply with the following guidelines:

  • Systematically examine the organization's information security risks, taking account of the threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts;
  • Design and implement a coherent and comprehensive suite of information security controls and/or other forms of risk treatment (such as risk avoidance or risk transfer) to address those risks that are deemed unacceptable; and
  • Adopt an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organisation's information security needs on an ongoing basis.
